Turn 1:
The allies hit the beach!
Since it was the Yanks debut they were given the honor of the first action, which they promptly blundered and in the process opened fire on themselves! Friendly fire accounted for one M-113 and a section of infantry! Not a good start!
On the left and in the centre the British advanced, however the Soviets remained hidden!
Turn 2:
The Americans opted for the same course of action and sat on the beach shooting at each other, this time however they managed not to inflict any casualties!
On the left the Brits advanced and were met by a determined assualt from a small Soviet force, a T-80 knocked out the British Fox Recee tank and but the infantries assualt was fough off.
Turn 3:
In the centre three British transport units advance down the road, then their commander blunders and and a massive does of friendly fire pounds three nearby HQ units almost killing them!
The Russian left recievs a nasty suprise in the form of naval artillary! The Russians respond with a does of Thermo, luckly casualties were low!
Turn 4:
The Yanks finnaly take off their shades and leave the beach advancing up the right towards a small hidden Soviet force.
The Yanks tried to flush out some Soviet infantry dug-in in the wood but they clung on so the attached British FAC sent in a wave of cluster bombs which they also survived, so he then also sent in the Lynx attack helicopter, which they also survived!!!
Turn 5:
On the left the Brits advanced slowly pushing back the Soviet defenders, their dugouts and wooded areas making it slow work.
The Yanks in a desperate attempt to make up for their earlier failures storm the hill on the right flank, destroying a T-80 in close assualt!
The Soviet HQ responded by calling in Chemical rounds virtually on top of himself!
GAS GAS GAS!!!!
The first casulty was a Soviet T-80, the majority of the Americans were suppressed, hwoever the HQ then followed this brutal attack up with a barrage of Thermo, wiping out the suppresed Americans! The Soviets also landed a barrage of standard rounds from four off table batteries!
The Soviets also pounded an industrial building where the some British infantry where hiding, destroying both.
Turn 6:
The Soviets fail their break test and the allies storm into the target zone, a major victory for the allies!
But can they defend their hard won bridge head .... CWC Game 5
