The German objective is to capture the French town.

The German forces advance towards their objective, however the French manage to mortar two trucks destroying them and KO’ing two stands of infantry.

The French bomber arrives over the area and manages to rain death from the skies destroying an Sdkfz 222 and suppressing a StuG and a half track. A volley of fire from the Panzerjaeger 1 destroys the French Panhard , this occurred at the end of a run of FIVE actions from the same formation!! The French replied with massive artillery fire destroying the Panzerjaeger 1 and a HQ section.

The French air support appears again and then is immediately shot down! Well place French ATGs manage a volley of fire onto advancing panzers and suppress four of them and KO’ing a Panzer 3. The German infantry debusses into the woods.

Seeing a wood full of Germans the French rain down arty Ko’ing one stand of infantry and wounding several more, French MG fire finishes off another.

The combined fire of a German infantry gun and a mortar section KO the French MG team and the massed fire of Panzers KO a French infantry section.

The Germans are starting to push the French hard, their arty KOs both Portee ATGs and the massed Panzers continue firing across the river and KO another ATG. To top this the French mortars blunder and take some friendly fire! The Germans cross the river.

A command blunder forces a German HW to withdraw.

As German Panzers infiltrate a small wood on the edge of town, the French troops realise they are ill equipped to deal with them and an MG team assaults an Panzer 3, the Panzer wins wiping out the MG team. Two more sections of infantry run the gauntlet of Panzer MG fire to launch an assault against the woods, they manage to force a Panzer 3 to withdraw!

The French are forced to commit their reserves to counter attack the flanking Panzers.

A command blunder causes a German HQ to withdraw.

The Germans make a final push for the town, assaulting and KO’ing an infantry stand. The French mortars open up on the long suffering  German troops in the woods and KO an MG team and a section of infantry.

The French have achieved a minor victory for holding the town!

There were four blunders and rougly eight command bonus!
