It has been reported that NAC convoys in the Finlandia sector have been attacked by PIRATES, thus a small but determined batlegroup has been despatched to the sector with orders to gave the PIRATES a damn good thrashing! After two weeks of searching long range sensors pick up the PIRATES, the NAC fleet moves to engage, in a suprising move the cocky PIRATES split into two groups and attempt to engage the NAC in two pronged attack...

The main force of the PIRATES storm to towars the NAC double battleline, these PIRATES certainly seem to be up for a fight! However theres not a lot to be said for their piolting skills, two crusiers head into a roaming asteriod field, only one comes out of the otherside! A corvette is also destroyed by a mine!

Both fleets meet in a dramatic flyby, however the fragile hulled PIRATE vessals are no match the for the war ships of the NAC and receive a severe thrashing.

Howver the PIRATES release missles and fighters during the flyby and take out two heavy warships! 

The PIRATES second fleet as spins past with a raking attack concnetratred on the NACs smaller vessals! Damn their eyes! They also lose a ship to another minefield!

However at this stage the differance between military commanders and one eyed cyber-parrot lovers becomes apparant! The NAC fleet is going so slowly it is able to spin on its axis and bring all its weapons to bare, meanwhile the PIRATES can only fire a handfull of their weapons...

The NAC begin to methodically pick off the PIRATES, who once again split up and spin up their FTL drives in an attempt to escape, one groups cunnongly turns its flightpath into an asteriod field...

Only one ship surives, she escapes in via FTL!

The remaing heavily damaged PIRATE ships are easy pickings for the NAC, who wipe them out!

NAC convoys should be safe from now on...

Notes, 1440 pts per side, the PIRATES destroyed 530 points of NAC vessals but lost all but one of their ships.
